Trip Catcher Extension

Save a flight or hotel booking to your trips with one click.

Coming soon to Chrome, Edge & Firefox

Booking confirmations are full of the details you need on the day: flight numbers, times, the hotel, the confirmation code. Trip Catcher copies them onto your Travel page for you, so your whole trip is in one place on your homepage, without retyping anything.

How it works

1

Open your confirmation

The booking email in Gmail or Outlook, or the confirmation page on the airline, hotel or booking site.

2

Click Trip Catcher

Its button in your browser's toolbar shows what it found. Click Save to my trips.

3

Your trip is saved

Every flight, time and hotel is filled in on your Travel page, ready when you need it.

Where it works

In your email

Open the confirmation in Gmail or Outlook on the web and Trip Catcher reads that email, not your inbox.

On booking sites

The "you're booked" page on an airline, hotel or travel site works too.

Anything you select

Select the booking details on any page and Trip Catcher sends only what you selected.

Schedule changes

When the airline moves your flight, save the change email and your trip's times update.

Try it on a sample booking

No trip booked? Open my sample confirmation, a made-up flight to Lisbon, and click Trip Catcher there. You can delete the trip afterwards.

Questions

What does Trip Catcher read, and when?

Only the page you're on, and only when you open Trip Catcher. It looks for the booking (the text you selected, the email you have open, or the page's main content) and shows you what it found. Nothing leaves your browser until you click Save to my trips.

It doesn't run in the background, read your other tabs or emails, or keep your browsing history.

Where does my booking go?

To your Best Homepage Ever account, where it becomes a trip on your Travel page. To find the flights, dates and hotel, my server has an AI model from Anthropic read the booking text. Anthropic doesn't use it to train its models, and I keep only the trip details, not the email or page.

Your trips are never shared with airlines, hotels or anyone else. The details are in my privacy policy.

"I couldn't find a booking on this page"
  1. In Gmail or Outlook, open the confirmation email itself, not just your inbox.
  2. Still nothing? Select the part with the flights or hotel, then click Trip Catcher again. It sends only your selection.
  3. You can also paste the email on your Travel page with Import.
My airline changed my flight

Open the schedule-change email and save it the same way. Trip Catcher matches it to your trip by its confirmation number and updates the times that moved. It never deletes a flight, and saving the same email twice changes nothing.

Some change emails list the old and new times side by side. If Trip Catcher can't tell which is which, it says so, and you should check the times on your trip.

Does it track my flights live?

No. Your trip is a copy of the booking you saved, with the date it was last updated. Airlines change schedules, so always check with your airline before you fly.

Trip Catcher says I'm signed out

Sign in on Best Homepage Ever in the same browser and Trip Catcher connects on its own. If it says Reconnect Trip Catcher, your sign-in expired: open your homepage once and it picks up the new one.

How do I change or remove a trip?

Open the trip on your Travel page to edit its flights and hotel, or delete it.

Which browsers does it work in?

Chrome, Edge and Firefox on a computer, with Safari on the Mac to follow. Browsers on phones and tablets don't run extensions, but your trips show on your Travel page on any device.

Is it free?

Yes, with a free Best Homepage Ever account. To keep it that way there's a daily limit of 100 saves, far more than a trip needs.

Does it read confirmations in other languages?

It's built to. If one in your language doesn't come through right, please .

Still stuck, or have an idea?

I read every message, and I'm happy to help with a booking that won't save.
