This tool needs JavaScript. It runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
The first conversion downloads a ~32 MB video engine (ffmpeg.wasm, GPL-2.0-or-later) and keeps it for the rest of your visit. Your video itself is never uploaded.
Private by design
Files are read and written on your device. The page never uploads them, so there is nothing to delete later.
No accounts, no watermark
No sign-up, no queue, and no daily cap. Videos up to 200 MB, as many as you want.
Your device does the work
The first run downloads a 32 MB engine, then everything happens locally. That is slower than a server farm: expect seconds for a trim and minutes for a long clip.

About m4a to mp3 converter
M4A is Apple’s default audio file. iPhone Voice Memos are M4A, so are songs bought from the iTunes Store and anything exported from GarageBand. It sounds good and it is compact, but car stereos, older MP3 players, some Android apps, and plenty of upload forms only take MP3.
This page converts the M4A to an MP3 inside your browser, using ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly with the LAME MP3 encoder. Pick 128 kbps for a voice memo or lecture, and 192 or 320 kbps for music. The first conversion downloads the engine, about 32 MB, once per visit; after that a song takes a few seconds.
Your recordings stay on your device the whole time. That matters for voice memos, which tend to be meetings, interviews, and notes to self rather than anything you meant to publish.
Frequently asked questions
Does converting M4A to MP3 lose quality?
A little, because both are lossy formats and the audio is re-encoded. At 192 kbps or higher the difference is very hard to hear. Do not expect the MP3 to be smaller than the M4A, though: AAC, the codec inside M4A, is the more efficient of the two.
How do I get a voice memo off my iPhone?
Open Voice Memos, tap the recording, tap the three dots, choose Share, then Save to Files. Open this page in Safari, tap the box above, and pick the file from Files.
Will it convert songs from Apple Music?
No. Songs downloaded through an Apple Music subscription are copy-protected and cannot be read by any converter, so the tool reports an error. Songs bought from the iTunes Store since 2009 are unprotected M4A files and convert fine.
Which bitrate should I pick for a voice memo?
128 kbps. Speech has little high-frequency detail, so a higher bitrate mostly makes the file bigger. Keep 192 or 320 kbps for music.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, and you can disconnect from the internet after the engine has loaded and it still works.
