Lower is smaller. 92% looks identical to the original.
This converter needs JavaScript. It runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
Looking for video or audio? Those live on the video pages. Word, Excel and other documents need a server-side engine, so I don't offer them — CloudConvert handles those.
Private by design
Files are read and written on your device. The page never uploads them, so there is nothing to delete later.
No limits, no watermark
Convert as many files as you like, as often as you like. There is no queue and no daily cap.
Fast and offline-capable
Your browser does the work, so a batch finishes in seconds and keeps working without a connection.

About converting JFIF to JPG
You right-clicked a picture on a website, chose Save image as, and Windows handed you a file ending in .jfif. Then the job site, the school portal, or the photo printer refused it, because it only takes .jpg. This page fixes that in a couple of seconds.
JFIF is not really a different format. It stands for JPEG File Interchange Format, and almost every JPG on the internet is stored that way. The problem is only the extension: a setting buried in the Windows registry tells Chrome and Edge to name JPEG downloads .jfif instead of .jpg. This converter opens each file in your browser and saves a copy with the .jpg extension that everything expects.
Drop a whole folder of them at once. The files never leave your device, and you get them back one by one or as a single zip.
Frequently asked questions
Is JFIF the same as JPG?
Yes. A .jfif file is a JPEG image with a different extension. Any program that opens JPGs can read the picture; the trouble is that upload forms and some apps check the extension and reject .jfif before they look inside.
Can I just rename the file to .jpg?
Usually, yes, and renaming is lossless. Converting here is handy when you have a batch, when you cannot see file extensions on your computer, or when you also want the photo turned the right way up and its hidden metadata removed. Set the quality to 100% if you want the copy as close to the original as possible.
Why does my computer keep saving pictures as .jfif?
Windows keeps a list of which extension belongs to each file type, and on many PCs the entry for JPEG images says .jfif. Chrome and Edge follow that list when you save an image. The value lives in the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\image/jpeg, named Extension; changing it to .jpg stops it, but only edit the registry if you are comfortable doing so.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion happens in your browser and the files stay on your device.
