Set your homepage in Edge

Three quick settings. The first one is all most people need, and the second makes every new tab open it too.

Open it when Edge starts

  1. Open the Edge menu ⋯ in the top-right corner and choose Settings.
    Or paste this into the address bar: edge://settings/startHomeNTP
  2. Pick Start, home, and new tab page.
  3. Under On startup, choose Open custom sites, click Add site, paste , and click Add.

Do not click Use all open tabs. That’s this page.

Open your homepage in new tabs Recommended

Edge has no setting for this, so it takes my free New Tab Launcher extension. Every new tab opens your homepage, and it sets your homepage for you too.

  1. Right after you add it, Edge turns it off to protect your settings. When that message appears, click Turn on.
  2. On the page that opens, switch the extension on.
  3. Open a new tab. It opens your homepage. If Edge asks Is this the new tab you expected?, click Keep Changes.

Add a Home button Optional

  1. Back on Edge’s Start, home, and new tab page settings (step 1), find Home button.
  2. Turn on Show home button on the toolbar.
  3. Choose Set custom site and paste into the box. It saves as soon as you click away.
