Set your homepage in Safari

One setting sets your homepage. Opening it in new windows and tabs is recommended. A Home button and my free PinDrop and Portal extensions are optional.

Set your homepage

  1. Click Safari in the menu bar and choose Settings…, or press ⌘ ,.
  2. Open the General tab.
  3. Paste into Homepage, and click Change Homepage if Safari asks.

Do not click Set to Current Page. That’s this page.

Open your homepage in new tabs Recommended

  1. In the same General tab, set New windows open with to Homepage.

Add a Home button Optional

  1. In the menu bar, choose View, then Customize Toolbar…
  2. Drag the Home button up into the toolbar, then click Done.

Add PinDrop and Portal Optional

Open the app once and it walks you through turning the extensions on in Safari's settings. The first time you click each one, Safari asks for access: choose Always Allow on Every Website, then confirm it. After that you can quit the app; just keep it installed, since the extensions live inside it.
